A mobile service for use in offices, corporate events and the workplace in general, on-site chair treatments address stress and tension - particularly in the upper back, neck and shoulders - so it is ideal for people employed in activities such as IT. & receptionists using computers all day, dentists & mechanics who adopt unnatural postures to carry out their duties, and people who drive on a regular basis.

Long periods of sitting in an unnatural posture, whilst using computers, manning a switchboard or "pen pushing" all contribute to an increase in back, neck and shoulder discomforts. This is not only due to the forward curvature that is experienced (especially if your workstation is not set up correctly), but also because there is a lack of symmetry of usage - the phone is held to one ear whilst the opposite hand is scribbling notes, or the head is turned to read dictated notes whilst typing the information into a word document.

There is a slow, but insidious accumulation of uneven tension causing structural stress which reduces the concentration and efficiency of the operator. Physical stress influences the level of mental stress as concentration drops and problem solving progressively gets harder - meaning that you then take the problems home as you are still struggling for the solution that may have been discovered at work. Unfortunately the domestic partner then accumulates stress as the work related problems are unloaded on a nightly basis, either through regurgitating the day's frustrations or by the worker becoming more distant and unapproachable.

Like all problems of a stress related nature, there is a tendency to spiral out of control. It is not until it reaches a "camel's straw" level that it is addressed, often too late to prevent serious loss of work and domestic stability. If an employee then decides to listen to the "bar room" solicitors, the company may face a legal action which, even if it fails, results in bad publicity and stress for the directors in return.

If any employee is absent from work the employer either has to spread the increased workload between other members of his team (including himself if a small company or department), which increases the stress of those still at work. Even if a short term contractor or temporary staff personnel are brought in there is a decrease in efficiency as the temp is integrated and trained - wasted money if they're only to be there for a week or two - and stress levels still increase until they are brought "up to speed".

Prevention is better than cure so why not be proactive and organise a regular
treatment for yourself and your staff?

On-site ChairThe specialist chair is set up in seconds, right next to the workstation or in a small side room. The client removes any coat, jacket or jumper to facilitate the ability to identify any need for specific work to be undertaken, and sits astride the chair. The earliest part of the treatment is slow, allowing them to relax and relieve the tension. The tempo increases towards the end of the treatment in order to invigorate them, ensuring they return to work focused and feeling an important part of a team - because the company has demonstrated that they care about them.

If you arrange a monthly treatment for each employee (typically takes 10 minutes) there is little loss, which will be quickly negated by their improved efficiency (which will continue throughout the month). If you're still unconvinced, why not link the treatment to a productivity scheme so that the most valued members of your team get the benefit - and you can have your treatment at the same time?

If any further treatment or regime is required, it will be the responsibility of the employee to address this outside of work's time - a simple thing, when you consider that I am open outside of normal working hours. When they visit the clinic, or I call on them at their house, they will have the same therapist throughout which ensures continuity of treatment.

Capabilities

Having been active in the martial arts for a number of years, I have an in depth knowledge of pressure points and their effect upon the body. Being fully qualified in massage and manipulation, I have more than enough knowledge of how to address structural dysfunctions. Why use an inferiorly trained person who only offers a basic service - I have a number of masseurs and masseuses who refer people to me when their abilities are insufficient to address the client's problems, and these are the good ones - beware the "do the same whatever the problem", the "don't know/cares" and the downright dangerous "have a go heroes".

Typical testimonial

C R, company director
I must admit to being sceptical regarding the benefits of this service, but having experienced the treatment at a recent exhibition I am aware of the benefits regarding regular treatment
