How do I make appointments ?

By phone or e-mail. Do not be put off by an answer phone message as I will not be disturbed when treating clients and allowing them to get cold (or make me run behind schedule) - you will appreciate this when you're on the treatment couch.

Please leave an answer phone message as (especially nowadays) many people have withheld numbers making it impossible for me to return calls otherwise, resulting in you suffering for longer than necessary. My being busy is an indication of my ability and reputation.

Companies or organizations interested in one off or regular bookings at their premises are welcome and can be fitted into lunch hours with sufficient notice. Your staff (such as VDU operators and manual workers) may benefit from regular treatment, while their improved efficiency may benefit you.

My opening hours are reflected below (in green) as an indication of available times (if you are a new client you will require a double session - therefore, for instance, 20:30 would be the last available slot for you on a Monday).

Why don't painkillers work ?

Painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs are aimed at reducing the symptom of the problem (that is to say the pain and swelling caused by the injury), whereas my function is to rectify the cause of the problem (that is to say the actual damage itself) Do you realise that 16% of hospital admissions are related to drugs - including prescribed drugs such as painkillers and anti-inflammatory pills?

Who will treat me and with what techniques ?

I will treat you myself. I have no assistants and believe in personalized care, you will not be "fobbed off" onto lesser practitioners.

The techniques utilized will be specific to your problem and will probably consist of a mixture of mixture of Skeletal Manipulation, Osteomyology, Massage, Orthotic and Sports Injury Treatments - which covers just about every structural component of your body's framework.

What should I wear and do ?

Male or Female, there will be a requirement for PARTIAL nudity which is necessary in order to assess and treat the body correctly. It is therefore requested that any client comes with this in mind.

I suggest that men wear boxer shorts or swimming trunks.

I suggest women wear "passion killer" underwear (definitely nothing lacy or revealing) or a bikini.

It is advisable that you have a warm bath if possible before venturing out in order to ensure your muscles are partially relaxed and that your body is clean. If you are unsure of your fitness to drive please remember that I offer a mobile service.

How many sessions will I need ?

It is impossible to advise this without examination and, even then, it depends on how you conduct yourself (both in leisure and at work) between appointments.

As a guide line it is probable that 3 sessions should alleviate most problems.

It is often advisable to undergo regular massage sessions of 1 per Month in order to reduce the chances of suffering both long term problems and picking up new injuries.

What costs are involved ?

(Domestic clients in clinic)

First visit (includes medical history taking and assessment) £35 (time approx 1 hour)

Thereafter (irrespective of treatment style being undertaken) £30 per session.

Clinic session charges commence at appointment times irrespective of client being late.

Any cancellation made less than 24 hours before the appointment (or failure to arrive) will be invoiced in full.

(Domestic clients house calls)

First visit (includes medical history taking and assessment) £80 (time approx 1 hour) - includes £45 charge for all travel (within 20 mile radius)

Thereafter (irrespective of treatment style being undertaken) £75 per session - includes £45 charge for all travel (within 20 mile radius)

House call sessions start once couch is set up ready for treatment - please ensure adequate space is made available prior to my arrival.

Any cancellation made less than 24 hours before the appointment (or failure to keep any appointment) will be invoiced in full.

(Company/Corporate clients on site)

First hour of any visit to your premises for treatment £80 - includes all costs including travel (not VAT registered)

Subsequent hours of any visit (3 maximum) £60

Based on 5x 10 minute chair massages per hour, this equates to £16 per treatment (1st hour) but drops to approx £13 per treatment if the maximum 3 hour option is taken.

Based on 2x 25 minute couch based treatments per hour, this equates to £40 per treatment (1st hour) but drops to approx £33 per treatment if the maximum 3 hour option is taken

As some companies may wish to subsidise, whilst others may wish to charge in full, I leave it to the company involved to negotiate with their workforce how to apportion cost.

Irrespective of any agreements that the company may have with their workforce, the whole invoice is payable to me (by the client company) 28 days from date of invoice. As I recommend a treatment every 4 weeks this means that the company can pay me at one scheduled treatment for the preceding one. Interest will accrue on overdue payments and wasted visits due to non-payment or non-cancellation (including cancellation with less than 24 hours notice) will be invoiced.
