Generally speaking (excuse the pun), people
are unaware of their structural composition and, therefore, the
effects that minor deviations may be imposing upon them day after
day.
One of my education program aims is to get people involved in
diagnosing some of the common problems that they encounter on a
day by day basis. The talks are aimed to be informative but not
technical - if people are exposed to all the scientific names of
body parts and conditions the eyes glaze over and the object of
the talk is compromised.
A typical talk is aimed at 40 minutes, but this may be adjusted
according to the timeslot that is pre-arranged, or to allow for
a more/less lengthy question and answer session.
In surveys it comes to light that, generally 19% of people fear
death, but 42% of people fear public speaking (figures vary slightly
between sources so don't quote me as precise). On this basis, if
it all goes horribly wrong, I can always face the consequences
and do a new foundation course - such as the foundation for a new
ring road flyover somewhere.
If any group wants to listen to a talk, where the object is to
get them, their friends and family fitter and healthier, please
contact me.

Capabilities
Having been a thespian and having to give business presentations
have obviously prepared me for public speaking. I currently run
massage courses so the content is right and I have taught judo
for many years so presentation can be adjusted to suit any audience
capabilities, whilst still being interesting.
Display Screen Equipment Courses.
Under Health and Safety law, employers have a duty to minimise risks to staff using DSE (VDU or monitors), keyboards, non-keyboard input devices, furniture and the working environment must all meet minimum requirements and be easy to adjust to the individual’s needs
Ergonomic setting up of a workstation is essential to ensure that Employees who regularly work with display screen equipment (DSE) - especially those who work for long uninterrupted periods – are not at risk of getting aches and pains in their hands, arms, neck or back. These upper limb disorders may become persistent or even disabling if they are not reported and treated early.
David runs 2 courses relating to the regular users of Display Screen Equipment which incorporates Ergonomic environments within the workplace. One is for the users of the equipment and the other course is aimed at the supervisory level, so covering the subject in even more depth.
They focus on good working practices and cover the following aspects.

Typical testimonial
Leighton Buzzard Business Club
David's presentation
was illuminating and educational. His depth of knowledge was evident
whilst he ensured nobody in the room was
left bewildered. Several of our members benefited from the question
and answer slot and found him very approachable after the talk,
when he could be more specific regarding their problems.
